Number of words: 551 - Number of pages: 3.... who's who. Also, translucency used on the windows of the house only allows the viewer to see a silhouette of the unidentified person on the other side of the window. Neither Marlowe nor the viewer know the mysterious person watching Marlowe through the windows. Keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat plays a key role in why these movies are so popular even though they are over 50 years old. Film noir movies might also keep attracting people because noir films are not regularly shot today for the mainstream movie theatres and the lingering intrig .....

Children And Television
Number of words: 642 - Number of pages: 3.... are speaking English and
walking upright. Something else that adds to this is that sometimes children
cannot make the distinction between fantasy and reality. Quickly a cartoon
about a man hunting a rabbit can turn into a story of murder. Another cartoon
character that may harm children is Yosimite Sam. When he becomes angry, he
begins to fire his pair of guns into the air and at other characters. This
could cause children to act violently to appease their anger. This includes
hitting and throwing things. This is an extreme view of the situation, but wh .....

Reality Vs. Illusion
Number of words: 412 - Number of pages: 2.... play “Othello” has the greatest example of this and is
easily understood through this example. Iago is a very intelligent man who uses
peoples weaknesses to his advantage. Iago has got to be one of Shakespeare's
most evil characters and he is a character who stands out among all of the
Shakespeare characters. Iago uses his skill to gain revenge and take advantage
of people who he believes deserves this sort of punishment.
Iago uses this revenge in many occasions, one in particular he
talks to Othello about Casssio and makes Othello believe that Cassio .....

Othello: Iago's Large Appetite For Revenge
Number of words: 620 - Number of pages: 3.... with his wife by stating "I hate the moor, And it is thought abroad that
'twixt my sheets He's done my office". The irony of this statement is that in
the next line he says that he does not know it for a fact, but because he
suspects it, he will act as if for certain! This gives me the impression from
the beginning, that Iago is insane and exceedingly paranoid, going so far as to
set up a cache of murders, just on the suspicion of adultery.
Iago was also jealous of the open and loving relationship that Othello
had. When Othello and Desdemona are reunited af .....

Race And Othello
Number of words: 570 - Number of pages: 3.... now, very now, an old black ram is tupping your white ewe” (1.1.88-90). Later on in the play, there are many other references to Othello's color and race. Desdemona's father, Brabantio, is appalled to learn that his daughter is having a relationship with a “sooty bosom” (2.3.27). Emilia refers to Othello as a black devil (5.2.132). This scene does not suggest that Emilia is racist in any way. She most likely was angry with Othello because he had just killed his innocent bride. However someone’s interpretation could be that she is suggesting that Othello is evil b .....
