It was very hot and all present were obviously uncomfortable. Suddenly Daisy asked, “Who wants to go to town?”(125). They eventually agree and all go to town. They end up getting a hotel room in downtown New York City which was just as hot if not hotter than where they had already been. Daisy and Gatsby tell Tom of their encount .....

Later, when Jack forms his own tribe they go hunting with masks of pig blood on their faces, as masks. The theme being the unit cohesion, teamwork, and the sense of family that develops within a squad and platoon; which are the qualities most World War II combat veterans point to when asked how they survived and won. Each incident given by a person represents in its own way the personal levels of war, how it affected the individual and their units of soldiers. The book summarizes the pers .....
