.... the house where her grandmother was a nanny for a white family. She was treated the same as the white children, they ate together, played together, even got punished together. Janie, unlike most of the blacks at that time, did not see any discrimination while she was growing up. That was the building block of her strong personality. There was some teasing in school about her living in a white folks home, but she did not pay much attention to that. Now if I may go off the subject for a moment I would like to say how beautifully and descriptively the book is .....

.... People come streaming in, driving their cars. They are in a hurry because they are trying to see as many parks as possible in their short vacation time. They have to deal with things such as: car troubles, traffic, hotel rooms, other visitors pushing them onward, their bored children, and the long trip home in a flood of cars. Many of them take tons of pictures, possibly so that they can actually enjoy the park without all of the hassles (Abbey 58). Without leaving their cars they will never actually experience the beauty and wonderment of the parks. .....

.... story is a flashback that covered around three years. He father Atticus that treat her as an invitingly. In the south the tradition and society is more important which is the individual is more important! He makes them learn everything by themselves, Therefore she tells us how she is getting educated. Jim was a very active boy, He has manners. He was the son of atticus. Scott was the daughter and narrator of Atticus. Atticus was a well known man. He was brave because he shot the dog. He was a lawyer. Calpurnia was the housekeeper of atticus, always helping .....

"..of a lusty, able body.." who "would always be condemning the poor people in their sickness and cursing them daily….he didn't let to tell them that he hoped to help cast half of them overboard before they came to their journey's end". But, "it pleased God before they came half-seas over, to smite this young man with a grievous disease, of which he died in a desperate manner, and so was himself the first that was thrown overboard". Bradford believes that the sailor died because God was punishing him. According to Bradford, the sailor's cursing, and mistreatment .....

.... of my good traits; I try to show them as much as possible. Unfortunately I am not as proud of my evil traits. I am a very sarcastic person. My sense of humor does not always make people laugh. At times I can also have an attitude. If you catch me at the wrong moment, beware! When I am extremely tired and overwhelmed, I get frustrated and take my anger out on the people around me. When I feel repressed I often have a bad temper. Sometimes at my job I feel overworked and exhausted, and I have no patients with customers. I try not to show these evil trait .....

.... help Antigone. Antigone is determined to bury her brother at any cost, and unlike her sister, she is not afraid of Creon. “Creon is not strong enough to stand in my way,”(pg.750 line 35). Not even the threat of death is enough to make Antigone afraid of Creon. At this point in the book she is stubborn and self-righteous. Antigone then goes out at night and buries Polyneices. That makes Creon very mad, so he unburies Poylneices and posts guard around the body. The next day a whirlwind kicks up around the guards and Antigone starts to bury Polyn .....

Winston was brainwashed into conforming to the normal society by loving Big Brother. The brainwashing in the book might be a little exaggerated but it is still the same concept. Yet another example is how people are tagged with numbers. People today are identified by a social security number same as in 1984. Many of Orwells predictions became true but many didn't. Despite the truths, there were many untruths prevalent in 1984. Many .....

.... seems somehow to remain "painted on the darkness," (115). Martin shows how good can shine on the physician, yet his evil still remains in the darkness. Even Pearl, an innocent child who does not know Chillingworth, refers to him as a dark person. When speaking to her mother, she says, "Come away, mother! Come away, or yonder old Black Man will catch you" (Hawthorne 123)! The "black" in "black man" refers to Chillingworth's evil, which is clearly acknowledged by even a small child.
