These were places such as palaces, and Kingdoms, mystical forests or a witches castle. One story was of a lonely cabin located in a mystical forest. I suppose places like these were used to provoke the children imagination. Many of the themes I found to be quite common. I quite often found them to be about a boy and a girl and them getting together. There was also usually some sort of a competition were the protagonist would win and ge .....

.... voyage to Lilliput, the Lilliputians impress Gulliver with their intelligence and organizational abilities, as well as the fact that they are well dressed and articulate. However, his role as the town giant not only put into perspective the selfishness and unrelenting need for power of the human race, but also opened his eyes to the untrusting and ungrateful nature of those little critters. It is rather ironic when Anse says "He's just lazy, trying me" (p. 129) Since Jewel has been working really hard, and it is Anse who is lazy. Furthering on Jewel and Anse's relationship, I feel that it is fairly evident that Jewel knows that Anse is not his father.
