Personal Writing: The Burnside Project

back wall and his wheels go silent. The other one puts his foot on his
tail and effortlessly rolls his truck over the coping. I watch him quickly
drop away and coast to the hip. He glides past it, and I start to notice
the entire view before me as he blends into a larger picture.

Creative Story: State Highway

his body. He was no afraid and cold in the hot summer air. He knew consciously
and logically that he was not alone. For his mother and grandmother sat next to
him in the minivan and would do whatever they could to help him. But yet he
realized something had changed. They were there but would some be gone and that
he must draw strength, self-confidence, and a sense of security from within
himself and not rely on the people around him to fulfill these feelings because
they could not provide this for him. He must venture into the unknown, .....

Creative Writing: The Missed Fly Ball
Number of words: 1299 - Number of pages: 5.... runner. Considering my
previous luck, I just threw it to the first basemen. The throw was not any
better then the catch. It landed 5 feet short and by the time the first basemen
recovered the runner had rounded third base and was at least halfway home. The
runner did score on a close play at the plate. The run gave the other team a
two run advantage going into the sixth inning, which was the last in midget
league. I knew at this point I was going to have a hard time facing the other
guys on the team after this big let down. It also made me decide to quit .....

My First Airplane Trip

My Favorite Room

My entertainment center offers a wood grain big screen TV. Complete
with surround sound and multi-function remote. The picture within picture
offers dual sport viewing, to bring live sports action to the room.
For half-time entertainment, guest can enjoy a antique carved wood
clawed foot professional size pool table, which was bought from Minnesota
Fats estate auction. Billiard action is well lit by the hand cut glass
Billiard lamp hanging from the open wood beam ceiling. Lazy Boys abound
sitting on top of genuine hand pegged .....

Creative Writing: The Snickers Bar
Number of words: 275 - Number of pages: 1.... and caramel blend. Those chocolate
covered peanuts and caramel were very tantalizing.
Then we were allowed to open the wrapper. I opened it, careful not
to rip the wrapper. The second it was uncovered, the sweet smell got
stronger. That chocolate and caramel aroma was now increased with the
glorious smell of roasted peanuts. Oh! How I longed to taste that
tempting Snickers bar. The top of the bar itself looked like an ocean
wave just before it crashes onto the beach. It was a perfect picture,
frozen in time. It felt smooth, yet gooey at the same time.

Personal Writing: Devon
Number of words: 575 - Number of pages: 3.... "Hi my name is Devon." He sat down on the other side of the small table.
Devon is well known in the coffee shop. He goes to the coffee shop
about 3 times a week and tries to meet someone new every time he goes. He is
really nice and it's not hard for him to make friends. Almost everyone in the
shop know who he is. If he sees someone he doesn't know he'll go up and talk to
them.
Devon told me why he dressed the way he does, "I do it to show people
that everyone is different and to like them for who they are." Devon does not

Creative Writing: Origin Of The Big Dipper
Number of words: 301 - Number of pages: 2.... put the mother chicken in when she was still alive. The little chicks had
just seen their mother die and suffer, so they were really sad. The oldest one
was so sad that he jumped in the pot right after her mother did and the rest
followed him. The monk saw this and felt sorry for them and felt that it was his
fault. He made the little chicks who cared so much for their mother into stars
in the sky in order to honor them. The constellation that the stars form now are
