Duncan was the King of England, and was murdered by MacBeth. He was murdered, because in order for MacBeth to fulfill his plan and become king, Duncan would have to die. The only difference between the two is that Mrs. Turpin was waiting in a doctor’s office. She too seems like she is the one who is in command of the conversation. The same holds true for the grandmother in A Good Man is Hard to Find. She continues a conversation with a man that is has murdered her family and threatening to murder her. The first is that the reader now knows that their suspicions of Molly’s close friends are correct, and that everything is not what it seems to be. Up until this point, the reader had no idea that of all people, Jenna was not only responsible for the murder of Molly’s husband, but quite possibly the murder of Molly as well. .... novel, I would like to meet Gaultry. Gaultry reminds me of myself in many ways. She is smart, but she does not always think until it is too late. She always gets herself into trouble by not thinking before acting. Like in the near beginning of the novel when she was attacked by a group of men, instead of using her cunning, she ran. She was almost raped and beaten because of her quick reaction to a situation that might have been avoided. Gaultry is really an everyday hero, she is not stronger, smarter, or braver than any other character in the novel. I thin .....

(Kayser 71) I find this statement to be very true in that in many stories, even by other authors, as well as some movies, this sort of thins happens frequently. During the course of the story or movie, the writer does an exceptional job of terrifying the viewer or reader and then concludes the piece with a sort of an upsetting ending. This can be found in many of today’s horror movies. A good example would be “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” In this film, the writer takes a regular fisherman .....

.... This sympathy allows the reader to realize not only how these children lived, but also how they felt and how they were deprived of their childhood. Blake also uses symbolism to express the evils of exploiting these small boys. Most of this symbolism appears to be about death. This gives the poem a dark mood.
