The result is based on 1997 physical examinations of 1,000 Air Force veterans who were exposed to during the nine years that it was used as a defoliant and crop killer in Vietnam. Joel Michalek, the lead investigator in the study, told a Pentagon news conference that because studies have not yet explained a biological relation between dioxin and diabetes, the Air Force cannot say conclusively that wartime exposure to is a cause of diabetes. Still, he said, the latest results provide “the strongest evidence to date” that herbic .....

Should Handguns Be Legal To All
Number of words: 594 - Number of pages: 3.... use of guns than people in the civil war.
Some feel it is extremely easy for just about anyone to get access
to a handgun. The laws in some states don't require a waiting period ,
several forms of identification, or even a back round check. Anti-gun
users feel that if handguns are illegal it may not be impossible for
criminals to obtain them but it would be much more difficult. If that were
true some believe there will be a drastic decrease in gang violence and
armed robbery.
The ultimate argument pro-gun users have is the second amendment
which states .....

justice regime in place."
The Juvenile Delinquent's Act was the predecessor of the Young
Offenders Act. It was adopted in 1908 by the federal government. Its

holding them over for as long as the crown wanted to. They then decided to
treat the children as "misguided" ones, instead of criminals. Although

Basic Principles Of Democracy
Number of words: 913 - Number of pages: 4.... by the popular
vote. A challenge to this principle occurred when Asheville City district zoning was voted on many years ago, and unfortunately was passed. The rules and
restrictions that are accompanied by zoning are phenomenal. In many cases the
taxes rise depending on how property is zoned. For example, if property is zoned as commercial property the taxes are considerably higher than if property was in a residential area. Consequently the minority here is being punished. More permits must be acquired and plans must be approved before anything can be

Problems With Gun Control
Number of words: 906 - Number of pages: 4.... lacked the
power to protect the people. This Amendment gave the power to the people to
bear arms for protection. As Clede points out in his article, it was not the
intent or purpose of this Amendment to bestow unlimited rights upon the people.
The question to ask today is, are the people responsible enough to have the
unlimited rights that they seem to have under this Amendment. Clede states,
"that does not mean that the government can constitutionally prohibit all
weapons, but it probably means that the government can reasonably regulate and
limit their use." .....

Norwegian Security Policy After The Cold War
Number of words: 3144 - Number of pages: 12.... exist. In Norway's particular
case, however, it is possible to talk about a remaining strategic threat, when
referring to Russian deployments in the far north. Such a threat is only a
potential one and is not imminent today. Yet it has to be acknowledged that wars
between nations and ethnic groups have hardly been abolished. As a result, it
has become more difficult to identify the risk of armed aggression directed
against Norway The risk would seem to reside in the escalation of a whole series
of completely different political developments. For example, thes .....
