Term Papers on Legal and Government
Opinion On The Death Penalty
Number of words: 1001 - Number of pages: 4.... society has become more advanced,
we do not function by this ancient code of punishment. For example, we do not
rape the rapist's daughter; we do not kidnap the kidnapper's children; but if
the death penalty were permitted, we would " kill the killer". So why, as
educated citizens, would we want to lower ourselves to this level? Do we feel
that we need to show the power of the police force by killing the killers? The
death penalty is extremely barbaric and is often botched in order to let the
accused suffer for several minutes. Society by now must realize .....

Referendum Reaction
Number of words: 293 - Number of pages: 2.... in other states. And most importantly it would make the lives of ill individuals much more bearable.
The legalization of medical marijuana would create a new job market for some Mainers. People who might not have had a job before can become a registered grower, and not only make money to support their family, but help the ill in the process. In later years, other states in the vicinity of Maine might legalize medical marijuana as well. Our advanced agricultural practice might monopolize their market and registered growers of Maine could offer their services to help farmers in other states.
Medical marij .....

Dumb Criminals
Number of words: 502 - Number of pages: 2.... matter how big or small the job is, the plan is up to the individual. Just remember not to be thorough, and improvise as much as possible.
When doing the actual crime, make sure that the victims or the police have some way of identifying who robbed them, a link missing from the chain mail so to speak. Some examples of this would be to sign a ransom note or to rob a bank without a disguise. Another nice thing to do is to smile for the camera when robbing a place that has surveillance. To be really dumb, one should always stick out like a sore thumb. We .....

Government Regulation
Number of words: 731 - Number of pages: 3.... regulation. Government regulatory agencies have spent
billions of dollars and there is little evidence that the world is any better
off than it was without the agencies and costly reforms. When reading further
ask yourself the question, does the costs or regulation out weigh the benefits,
I believe they do not.
Regulatory programs normally are started by a group of people with a
single interest and pressure the government and people to believe that there is
a major crisis, creating panic to an alleged problem. When this happens it
pressures Congress .....

would happen to poor children when states were no longer required to provide
the modest assurances and protections we insisted on in waiver demonstrations
led her to resign after President Clinton signed the welfare bill (Bane).
The reform takes away national level responsibilities and puts the money and
responsibility into the individual states. A good amount of flexibility is
provided, which may or may not result in a positive manner. For instance,
they money could be used on the .....

Homosexual Education
Number of words: 1337 - Number of pages: 5.... schools overstep their boundaries when teaching young children subjects such as homosexuality. For example, in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the school board has voted to begin teaching preschoolers about homosexual lifestyles. They also want to back hiring preferences for sexual minorities ( Clinton's homosexual agenda 2). There is also a school in New York City that have told their students they must come to an assembly for two days in a row to talk about how normal homosexuality is, and how indecent, undemocratic, and homophobic it is to have any negative vie .....

Date Rape
Number of words: 902 - Number of pages: 4.... there are many reasons. A lot of these reasons having to do with
how American kids are raised. Boys are brought up thinking they are strong and
aggressive, while on the other hand, girls are brought up being passive and
"what you say goes" (Shuker-Haines and Stark 23) . This shouldn't be going on
in our society...not with the advancements we have made in our country.
It is sometimes said that the woman who was the victim of rape shared fault for
the rape for wearing a skirt too short, or maybe if she stops over at his house.
It shouldn't matter what wome .....
