Childhood Is The Kingdom Where
Number of words: 967 - Number of pages: 4.... time with this person, or at least enjoyed the time they spent together more.
The first and second lines of this poem are very true. "Childhood is not from birth to a certain age and at a certain age the child is grown and puts away childish things" (1,2). I think what Edna is trying to express is that when you reach a particular age you don't just start being an adult. Being an adult is not something you just wake up one day an decide to be.
In the third and fourth lines she writes, " nobody dies. Nobody that matters, that is" (3, 4). I feel she is statin .....

Modern Torture
Number of words: 2888 - Number of pages: 11.... many torture survivors may be unable to adapt and fully function as contributing members of the community.
Torture is a slow process that is designed to render its victim helpless, dependent and devoid of all human qualities. Torture destroys the sense of self; it confuses right and wrong; any belief in the stability of the world is taken away; "truth" becomes a word without meaning. Methods of torture are limited only by the fiendish fantasies of those whose business it is to break others down. Physical methods include beating, electric shock (especially to .....

It is important to understand these theories and their implications to accurately comment on reinforcement theories of motivation. According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, there are five classes: (1) physiological, (2) safety, (3) social, (4) esteem, and (5) self-actualisation. (Karen. P. Harlos Lecture Notes) each lower level need must be satisfied before an individual experiences higher level needs. Also, as Hall, Batley, Elkin, Geare, Johnston, Jones, Selsky and Sibbald (1999) found that Maslow hyp .....

Tannen states that what women look for in communication is human connection, while men consider status to be most important. They are looking for independence and are constantly looking for higher accomplishments. Intimacy threatens this indepe .....

out too, I forgot who, if someone else remembers, please jump in and add their

Building A Passive Wine Cellar
Number of words: 1800 - Number of pages: 7.... hastening the ingress of oxygen - and thereby oxidation.
Ullage is the air space present in a bottle of wine between the cork and the surface of the wine. In old wines it is fairly reliable indication of likely quality: the greater the ullage the more suspect the wine. Excessive ullage indicates a loose cork, widely or frequently fluctuating storage temperatures, or low humidity (Gold 31). Some ullage with age is inevitable, but anything more that 12 mm (1/2 inch) per decade is avoidable.
Excessively high relative humidity inevitably leads to mold. The c .....
