Qumran, the home of the Essenes, was a settlement in Palestine on the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea. The Essenes lived in caves within the cliffs bordering the sea. "After….Qumran was carefully excavated, archaeologists were able to identify some rooms that had been used for study and worship, others apparently used for communal meals, a spacious chamber with inkpots (perhaps the scriptorium whe .....

Christianity: What Does God Mean?
Number of words: 523 - Number of pages: 2.... apart from other beings. So, how do we make the distinction? There is only one place to get that knowledge. Within the God’s Written word. ”For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” That spirit can be compared with God for man was made in His image. Man’s spirit can not be seen, or felt, weighed or measured. We really can’t explain what a spirit is, in all honesty, because it is mystery that eludes precise definition or description.
What is important is that .....

we pray that the human spirit will not be taught
by cynicism or despair, but rejoice in the
possibilities of every new day and accept all
Your blessings with thanksgiving. Amen.
For some people in the Congress this raises serious questions about when
prayer is or is not appropriate. One of the Representatives from Oklahoma made
this comment in the Congressional Digest on November 30, 1994: Ò It was fine
for Rev. James David Ford to offer this prayer, yet it is a praye .....

Who Was Jesus?
Number of words: 1390 - Number of pages: 6.... each other also. These
seem like simple, logical rules to live by. But, they reflected a time in
history where that kind of love for one another was hard to find because
of the hardships inflicted upon the people.
I find some conflict in Jesus' actions, however. Jesus never (as far
as I know) says to ignore to commandments of God in the Hebrew Scriptures;
however, constantly breaks the Sabbath (Matt 12:13 and others), and gives
VERY flimsy and unconvincing explanations for it. I am not sure what his
message was in those actions. Perhaps he didn't care .....

End Of The World As Told In The New Testament
Number of words: 369 - Number of pages: 2.... probably hold a different view. I really don't ever recall reading
in the Bible about any natural disasters, other than the Flood. That is
one point that really sticks out to me that really makes me believe this
view, especially in the increase lately in all of the natural disasters
happening.
When Jesus comes down in the second coming, I feel that all nations
will mourn, just like others have done when they learn of their wrongs. It
is then in which all Christians will go up Heaven and begin to reign up
there, at which at the same time down on Ea .....

Christ: VICTORY!!
Number of words: 617 - Number of pages: 3.... This is a sign of
the Victory that Christ had won a victory here. The reason is because of all of
the lifes that he saved and will later be saved. In Romans 5 it says that Jesus
died for All Sinners! We are all sinners so his death was for all.
When Jesus says that "It is finished", he can also be reffering to the older
predictions of Christs' life. There is one in particular that it might have been
talking about in Isaiah. That is the one in which Isaiah talks of the life of
Jesus and the crusifiction, in very short and brief detail.
The suffering in which J .....
