Mohandas Gandhi was born in Porbandar, India, on October 2, 1869. During the 1900’s, Gandhi was considered to be by many one of the foremost political and spiritual leaders of that century. Gandhi’s quest in life was to use a nonviolent resistance method to free India from bondage under British control.
