.... people found Gatsby hard to read, especially Nick and Daisy. He rarely showed or talked about his emotions and if he did, the subject was quickly changed. Gatsby did not develop throughout the novel. From a point early in his life, he had a romantic fantasy and he continued to sustain this throughout his life. He liked to focus on past events, rather than look at what was happening at the present. For example, he and Daisy had a beautiful romance for a long period earlier in his life. Gatsby repeated this moment over and over again in his head, Gatsby, a .....

Also, when he tells Huck about the Arabs with all the jewels, elephants, and camels that they are going to go attack and they end up in a Sunday school picnic, Tom tries to tell Huck that they were hidden b .....

.... females are trying to combat their tribulations through lawsuits and protest rallies. Literature often deals with people being unable to articulate their problems. Often, unforeseen circumstances force people to conceal their true emotions. In "The Handmaid's Tale" the main female characters find ways to escape their situations rather than deal with them. Offred from The Handmaid's Tale uses different tactics to cope with her situation. She is trapped within a distopian society comprised of a community riddled by despair. Though she is not physically torture .....

.... and in most cases I would say that this is a negative thing. However, in the book the author actually uses it to enhance the storyline by not dwelling on any one scene for too long. Many chapters end and you find yourself wondering if there was supposed to be more. By the end, you realize that it actually enhances the plot greatly. One moment the people might be eating and bathing in the barracks, and the page after they are fighting on the front lines. It skips around a lot, but I became used to it. I may even grow to miss it in the future. This story's real .....

.... and he is too innocent to realize that, her independence of spirit is the reason. As well, Cristina's father does not see past the cloud which has slowly been built up in Valle del Sole. The cloud which prevents most people from seeing how the failure to be an individual rules the town, and how anyone with the nerve to be unique is ostracized. Cristina's father's failure to understand this leads to the decline and eventually their total destruction of the family structure. In many ways, the story of the character Cristina in the novel is similar to the story .....

But as the chapter progresses images of escape start to dominate. But these are merely visual images and even these images are either religious in nature or of similarly confined people .....
