He had lived a life of monetary deprivation on the plains of Colorado, and had proceeded to New York by Amtrak with only a dollar and a dream. Things did not go as planned, though; he could not find a job and had taken to panhandling and sleeping in the streets. After five more minutes of intense arguing, the young lady, now engulfed in tears, leaves. The clerk shrugs and turns around. The building seems colder upstairs. .... I wasted your money; I had no excuses so I told them the truth. What happened after that changed my life forever. It was either the military or go to a community college and try to redeem myself. I wanted to do neither, but I had to choose. The military was off my list and going to a community college sounded o.k. So I registered and the rest of that summer I had to deal with the fact that I had not accomplished anything in the past year and this was wake up call and the only chance I had left to prove to myself that I could do something. .... different environment. This I knew would be my toughest challenge to date. As a third grader attending a new elementary school in a new country, I felt left out because of my inability to communicate and adapt with the environment. Some kids assumed that I did not understand them at all, so they made rude remarks about me and my race. I understood them, maybe not completely, but I knew the intent of their messages. .... man and this party was Fred Funny. Fred is the kind of drunk you want at every party. He has everyone on the floor, rolling in hysterics. He has people crying because they are laughing so hard. Fred likes to have an audience of at least five people. The group seems to grow as everyone hears what he is saying. Fred loves to tell jokes that he’s heard all week, and make wise cracks at the rest of the drunks. Fred can often be seen doing stupid things like spilling his drink or tripping over his own feet. .... that is discriminated against, led to a problem I encountered a few years ago during my sophomore year in high school. My high school is predominantly white, with a few Asians, and very few black students. One of the few black students, Kaasa, happened to be in my phy-ed class during the first semester of my sophomore year. The problem was that Mike Hartman was also in the same class. Mike was kind of known to the people in our grade as “Mr. Racism”. He was always quick to come up with a “nigger joke”, or to tell everyone how much better he was than t .....

.... as abruptly as that little conversation started, it ended. They said, “You are going come Saturday and you can't do a thing about it.” So then they say, “We will get you a train ticket for the earliest train out of Central Station.” I stormed out, knowing that I was defenseless against them I went straight into my room and packed, thinking of ways to get back at them. I thought then I realized that I shouldn't even bother wasting my time, I knew that it would be a small time before I would be kicked out anyhow. Bags outside the door at 5:00 A.M. .... and lawmakers might, it is impossible to restrict a person from doing whatever is their desire and in their grasp. Any person, at any time, can say anything they want to. And for good reason. We are a democracy where the people make the rules, and the people own the country. The place that the government should step in is when it endangers, damages, or insults another human being. When the leaders of our country wrote the constitution of the United States, they knew that their rules would have to be broken sometime in the future. What they didn't think would .....
