In September of 1987 I began kindergarten at Waterloo Elementary school. On October 1st my Mom had a doctors appointment in York because my second baby brother was on his way. I went with my Mom because my Dad had to work and wouldn’t be able to take care of me for the weekend, but little did my Mom know that she was going to have to stay in York for the whole month of October. Mom’s doctor didn’t want her to be so far away when having the third baby on the way. My second baby brother, Scott was born .....

Personal Writing: It Was The Perfect Lifeoff
Number of words: 567 - Number of pages: 3.... left I turned and watched as my sisters window began to open. She then
levitated and floated onto the cloud as well, she sunk into the cloud and
continued her dream. I whispered, “sweet dreams” to my family and continued
to fly. This was my night to share with my mind body and soul. I kept my
cat Felix with me though, his loving silence has only shown love and that
face of a sleeping tabby is to amazing to exclude from this fantasy. The
scenery above is much different from the scenery below. Up above their is
no filth, pollution, or violence. Just the cloud .....

she thought about Coyotito. She told Kino that it might be dangerous traveling
that long of a distance. Kino told her to bring him to the house of his brother
Juan Tomas. She did and Juan Tomas and his wife Apolonia said that they would
gladly take care of him. She thanked them and went back to Kino. He had just
finished packing. He then grabbed a few corn cakes and they started on their
long journey.
As they arrived in the city they had found that it had almost entirely
changed. The streets were more crowded, the stores were getting more busines .....

Creative Writing: Sensory Writing
Number of words: 571 - Number of pages: 3.... other fans, and my hands feel greasy after just eating a hot piece of
pizza. My mouth still has the pasty, saucy taste of the slice in my mouth.
I look down towards the court where the players have now started shooting
baskets. Their brightly colored uniforms stand out in the glare of the
spotlights above. The court has a waxy look, like it was just swept, and
the glass backboards, have a shine as bright as a new car.
The band starts playing a song and the crowd swings their arms back
and forth through the air. The mass of people moving looks like a field .....

small rectangular object, containing a spool of thin ribbon, which one of
our historians identified as what was known as a cassette. Simply put, it
was a device on which sounds could be recorded. From its small size, our
historian conjectured that it was of a type designed for recording the
human voice rather than music. Armed with this belief, we managed to
convince the Censor Society to allow us to reconstruct the primitive
machine to play back the message we hoped it would contain. They agre .....

Personal Writing: Son's Trip To The Emergency Room

I jumped to my feet and scooped him off the floor when I noticed there was blood streaming from his wrist area down his arm. My heart sank as I searched for the open wound. My first thought was that he cut a vein in his wrist and panic raced through my body with the fear that he would bleed to death before I could get him to the hospital. As quickly as I could, I grabbed him from the floor and ran to the bathroom to get a towel and wrapped it around his wrist. Personal Writing: Why I Need A Car

they don't care to what I have to say. Even when the buses come they are
always late because the routes are convoluted. It takes hours to get
anywhere. The closest commercial area to my house is Park Royal and that
is a two hour walk away. There are no small stores and if I want milk, the
closest store is in North Vancouver, would you believe. I guess they
expect everyone to be so rich, so they can afford a car for every member in
the family (think again). Waiting for the buses in the freezing rain or
snow is so annoying. If I just had .....
