Descartes 1ST Meditation
Number of words: 469 - Number of pages: 2.... of our own about what we believe to be truths. In the light of his arguments it is hard to firmly root any of our preconceived knowledge. He shows us all of the difficulties there are in trying to do so.
I do find his arguments convincing, for I have often found myself in life asking the same type of questions. I have never found any real answers for these questions. None at least that I can call knowledge in a true sense.

Analysis Of Mark Strands Keepi
Number of words: 524 - Number of pages: 2.... was just read. His stanzas are concluded when he wants more attention placed on his current idea.
The narrator’s viewpoint towards life in this poem is quite different from how most people see it. Where he writes, “In a field / I am the absence / of field.” (ll. 1-3) instead of acknowledging his existence as something, he regards it as a lack of something. This negativity towards himself is what the entire poem is focused on.

Women In Early Lit.
Number of words: 349 - Number of pages: 2.... wild man. Ask him to give you a harlot, a wanton from the temple of love; return with her, and let her woman’s power this man (3.14).
This shows how the women were used as a powerful distraction to seduce a man and take his mind off of what he should be doing.
Finally, In Oedipus Rex, the role of women shows the power of royalty and persuasion. Jocasta, Oedipus’ wife and mother, speaks:

Wilfred Owen Poems Analysis
Number of words: 3356 - Number of pages: 13.... deep down inside the men are feeling miserable and are low in the level of confidence to proceed with going to the battle front. The usage of 'gay' has been applied to convey the device oxymoron, although the men are anxious about departure for war, they still try to show cheerfulness. Owen progresses further ahead into the poem and introduces people watching the men departure. I think that there could also be another theme for this book. The other theme I saw to be very present throughout the book was the mere fact that science alone can not necessarily answer questions but can give the flaws to someone’s story. Confronting Death In Poetry
